kale, orange, apple // a favorite green juice

juicing has quickly become a favorite for the whole family and one of the easiest ways for me to get mass amounts of nutrients into the boys!

regardless of what else i am adding, i almost always try to make them "green" with ample green vegetables.

a favorite of all three boys is a kale, orange, apple juice.

it is pretty simple and straight forward:

fresh kale, hard ribs removed. i typically keep adding until the juice is as green as i want it! (to get the best juice yield from the kale, i roll them in a ball to compact the leaves...the long stalks of kale do tend to work better, but the chopped kale is all i had on hand this morning)

2 oranges, peeled, but with as much as the white pith left as possible.

2 apples, washed and cut to get the seeds out. (Apple seeds do contain a small amount of a cyanide compound, which the body can easily detox in small amounts.  Juice machines do break open the seeds which can release the compound.  If this is a concern for you, then you can core the apple before juicing. juice and enjoy!!
